about
Thank you for stopping by on the journey! This is my original song and video for "The Day You Broke My Heart". I wrote this song over thanksgiving break this year while I was on a trip down the 395. I started to think about the alchemy of things, and how that with every experience we encounter, even heartbreak, it shifts us on our journey little by little- changing things around in us, and changing little things around about our character; until suddenly one day we look in the mirror and recognize someone else. Someone who has gone through tremendous growth and strength. Someone that would never want to take a glimpse in that wrong direction again. Hopefully we can all recognize the good in the pain, and hopefully we can all recognize our own individual growth and that things can sometimes fall away for the better. I hope you enjoy the tune and consider sharing it or downloading it! I appreciate your support always.
lyrics
"I go back to
The day you broke my heart
how could I forget?
I never knew
The day you broke my heart
that I would never come back..
we held onto whats lost
unexamined the cause
for life thats worth living
isn't love that is lost
and the rivers run dry
the suns set in your eyes
oh, I thought I was lonesome,
but I was lonesome with you..
I go back to
The day you broke my heart
How could I forget
I never knew the day you broke my heart
that I would never come back
As memories fade
and as time slips away
well, ill never forget you
and the road that you paved
and the curtains have closed
and no matter whats told
I surrender my worry
as I let it unfold.. "
CHORUS.
