about

So excited to share my new song “Mining Town” ! This is the first single released off of my new E.P that is dedicated the first two years of living alone in Bisbee, Arizona!

-One of the synchronicities that I’ve personally experienced while living here is the rumble and bumble about how the town can talk. I think just about everyone that has lived here or in a small artistic place can probably relate to how it can feel at times and this album (and specifically this song) was my way of processing through that over the summer and getting on the other side. I wanted to show some of Bisbee in this video and take some power back because the reason I moved to Bisbee is because I loved it. I love all of the people here that are truly themselves, living and fighting for their truth and their creativity, and I want this to be a message that the collaborative and supportive potential that this town has if more people just were happy for one another is powerful. Another way of taking your power back is to just remember that you can create a world of your own without chatter. You can create your own bubble in a place and enjoy it without the approval of a certain crowd, and you can choose to see the magic or choose to let the hard stuff consume you. Im at a point where I just want to have fun here in this town and enjoy all of its magic and quirks and sometimes show the town some of my quirks and creations and just be happy here. It’s really liberating to start to put these songs out and to be on the other side of what was sort of a hard summer for me with the loss of certain friends and hearing how people can speak, but I look forward to sharing the rest of the EP and buttoning up those feelings and using it all as motivation.

These are just my personal words and you don’t have to choose to relate to them (everyone experiences things differently), but I want to enhance the silver lining and the beauty in Bisbee and represent the story of how I came to find peace here and how I stopped worrying about the rest. I’ve included clips in this video of the film Broken Arrow (which is an old Western about Chief Cochise) and added drone shots of the beautiful sights here as well as some old Bisbee footage I found online. I love being in this beautiful spot but I also know so many of us who live here might be able to relate to the feelings expressed in “Mining Town”, and I want to remind folks that they aren’t alone if they feel that way, and that you can choose to enjoy something and make it your own if you want to. You don’t need anyones approval. Bisbee IS special and that’s why people come here <3 Stick around and follow along because there’s more feelings + songs I’ve written about my personal perspective and journey of living here in AZ coming soon. Wherever you go, you will be.

Thank you for having me here for two years and teaching me these beautiful lessons of maturity and growth!
